Pingshuo's existing three opencast coal mine: Antaibaoe Surface Mine, Anjialing Surface Mine and in the construction of the East Surface Mine.

East Surface Mine field is located in the northern end of Ningwu coal, coal seam thickness, coal quality is good, buried in shallow coal seams, geological structure is simple, low stripping ratio is China one of the few suitable for open-pit mining, one of the fine ore field. The construction of the East open pit mine in large part to local small coal mining area of re-mining abandoned coal resources recovery, at the same time through land reclamation and ecological reconstruction, improve the local ecological environment, with very significant economic and social benefits.
